(still early in the book warn if you have spoilers please)
First off as one is trying to get the whole willing suspension of disbelief factor going for this book, you are hit with the fact that One author has footnotes that don't add up and the other has a gift for B.S.
yet we still buckle down for the ride
also what if old man Z was having a hoax played on him, what if a group of college students got together and created a fake documentary and "read" to him all these sources that he quotes. they let him take it where he wanted and this prank became his passion which became his obsession. throw in Johnny's B.S. and you get a nice lil House of leaves.
