Dude (or dudette) you are completely welcome here, at least by me. I say you are one of us! Why? Because you are a thinker. You put good thought into your arguments and you have been honestly trying to see other people's points of view. I admire that in a fellow human being.
And hell, this place has finally had its first big disagreement. Wow. We're special. Every good board has one eventually.
I only regret that we scared off a possible new comer with our foolish prattle.
