The concept that an idea is aware of itself - hence being "alive" is how my screen play parallels THE HOUSE OF LEAVES. This process was not intentional. Since HOUSE OF LEAVES came out before I wrote the screen play, I decided it was only logical to give the novel the credit of ensperation it deserved.
