I had just recently gotten this book as a gift, for I have been wanting to purchase for some time now. I am unable to read the book for hours of a time. So every chance I get I pick it up and read a few pages at a time. My question for anyone out there is this: When does it start getting scary?
I had just finished reading the part where Navidson had gone into the hallway in the living room and gotten lost for the first time. Where does it go from there? images/smiles/icon_confused.gif andee@jpltech.com

the novel is roughly +600 pages long, you're on page hrm, 60, and you're asking this? images/smiles/icon_wink.gif
have some patience and allow your mind to wander and wonder of the implications of those who interact with the house, even if not physically...
that makes sense. trust me.

images/smiles/icon_wink.gif Don't feel bad, I'm not scared yet either and I'm a couple hundred pages in.
Not sure just yet whether the book is brilliant or an overdone attempt at it. But then I'm probably a little older than the average reader and the trendiness of it doesn't impress me. The previous post is right though, it is 600 pages and has alot of time to "get there."
