House in Yellow? (Java - warning)

This wouldn't post in the HoL forum because of the auto-color tags. I thought it was interesting, even if it is mostly just the index. If anyone needs to reference anything from these 74 pages when they're away from their copy, it shall be here.

The Yggdrasil page is there. And the Juxtapolemic saw that it was good.

Dammit. Is the full book available that way?

It also seems a very doable thing, if MZD would approve.

Yeah, and it would help out blokes like me too, who live in literary shit holes and hear about good books through whispers on the internet.

Not just that - it would help with stuff about the book too. Imagine every time someone talks about a page or quote they could just link directly to that quote for everyone to read it in context.

It would also completely remove the "sorry but I loaned my copy" crap people say all the time. They wouldn't need their copy just to check something.

Even if the book was offered that way online, I don't think it would affect paper copy sales much, because HoL isn't just about the text, but the book itself, and people want to be able to draw all over it.

The online searchable one should just be part of this site, as a discussion resource.

I agree, fatwoul. Though, there'll always be those who say, "I was too lazy to search," the way they say now. Idiots. I mean, the ones for whom this thing would be truly useful will sadly be the ones who won't use it. Kinda like the stickied useful threads.

And also, it would reduce the amount of work mister f_s has to do here by half as well. That's gotta be good.

Or are just able to read things at different angles. I refuse to turn the book around when I am reading it. If MZD thinks he can make his readers look like dumbasses when reading in public, he can fuck off.
