For starters, all the good ones will go up on the website. For finishers, if you’re really good, and we mean really really good, you may be asked in July to play either Sam or Hailey for the Full Length Audio Version of
Only Rev
oluti
ons due out September 12.

Here’s how to proceed:
In the SUBJECT LINE state the passage you’re reading as listed below and your name (i.e. HAILEY—7 karengreen).
In the MAIN TEXT include your name, address, phone number and age. A photo’s nice but it’s optional. Indicate if you want to be credited and how (this applies only to your sample passage(s); of course you’ll be credited & paid if you end up recording the Full Length Audio Version of OR).
Next, cut and paste in the following bindyourass legal language:

1) 18 or over.
2) granting Circle Round A Stone, Mark Z Danielewski, markzdanielewski.com, houseofleaves.com, onlyrevolutions.com (together “US”) all rights to my Contribution which may include my voice on the recording of the passage and any additional material submitted: e.g. photographs, notes, etc. (the “Contribution”) in perpetuity and without any fees, including, but not limited to, the right to use, reproduce, publish, distribute and modify the Contribution, to use it for promotional and commercial purposes. I understand that US will try (should I request so) to credit me if they publish my Contribution.
3) I hereby release, discharge, and acquit US who may publish, advertise, sell, distribute or use the Contribution, from any and all claims, demands, or actions that I may have by reason of the use of the Material or my likeness as herein provided. US assumes no responsibility for any losses, injuries, or damages resulting from or related to my participation in this contest or the Contribution.
(In other words, you’re giving up all control over all you submit. If you don’t want to do that then don’t submit. It’s okay. We won’t be mad.)
(If you’re under 18, you’ll need to get a parent or legal guardian to sign off on your participation. Here’s how: [1] print out the above legal language [2] cross out “18 or over” and state age [3] print name, sign name and date the page [4] have your parent or legal guardian print name, sign name and date the page [5] scan (or digitally photograph) the page, and then [6] send it along as a readable JPG. We know, we know, it’s not easy being young.)
Finally and most importantly attach ONE (1) AUDIO FILE (.mp3 or .wav) of you reading from one of the below passages. (If you’ve managed to come across an ARC feel free to pick your own favorite passage.) Multiple readings from multiple passages are fine but must be submitted separately.
Also, no music or effects or multiple tracks. Just you and the mike and the text. Limit each file to a few megs. (There’s no small files, only small actors.)

All the above applies. But bear in mind the quality is pretty poor and might effect the outcome. Of course if you’re really really really good what’s a little hiss, jitter and pop?
